Panzer General 2 (PG2) on Windows 7 x64

For those of you having Windows 7 x64 and trying to play "Panzer General 2", I have found a way to play the original 1.02 version of the game.

• First problem was the color. this was resolved easily by using these compatibility settings, on a shortcut for the executable "PANZER2.EXE":

• Then the mouse cursor freeze problem. This was more research and really annoying. Finally, I found various web pages about using only one CPU for old game compatibility (see link #1 for an example).
  
  So I change the shortcut target to:
  
  C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start /AFFINITY 1 .\PANZER2.EXE
  
  The last part is your Panzer General 2 location. So now executing this shortcut will resolve the mouse freeze issue in Windows 7 x64 and the color trouble.
